You know that sleepy feeling you get after eating a big meal?
The Gulf Fritillary Caterpillar that is living on my Passion Flower vine has been eating up a storm. However this morning when I found him on the vine, he seemed to be taking a break from eating. I guess even a caterpillar gets full.
I purchased my first house in October 2008, and it came with a weedy and neglected yard. It is now my joy and burden to try to bring this garden under control, and turn it into my Little Eden.
WHAT'S HAPPENING...
Veggies are growing in the deck planter.
I finally have the grapevine I've wanted since moving here!
I'm experimenting with sprouting seeds.
My first passion flower. Mmmmm, smells so good!
I'm slowly taming the jungle (this is the area seen in the blog header, as it looks today).
What's Growing
Banana trees (came with house)
Big Red Ripper Pea, Garden Bean, Royal Burgundy Bean and Brandywine Tomato sprouts in deck planter (1/12/13)
Dwarf Taylor beans, Dwarf Oregon Giant Snow Pea in railing box (seed planted 1/12/13)
A divorced woman living in South Florida, I love animals, music, nature and entertainment. I am at times serious and thoughtful (more often than not), and at other times a goof ball. I am trying to find my path-- a path that I hope to follow with light footsteps.
All pictures in this blog are taken by me (unless otherwise noted) using a Canon PowerShot A590. I've been very pleased and impressed with the quality of images that I've gotten from this little point-and-shoot.
