After some research, I found that this seems to be a Gulf Fritillary caterpillar, and it only feeds on the Passion Flower. It will eventually turn into a lovely butterfly.
So we'll see how this goes. I want a natural garden, and hope to draw in butterflies. I am just hopeful that the population does boom out of control, and destroy my new Passion Flower. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, welcome to the garden, little guy!
